It's election day everybody!

We spent much of the day talking and reading about what an election is and why it's important for everyone to participate, no matter what your vote may be. We registered to vote, received identification cards, learned about making informed choices (pros & cons for each choice), voted in privacy and counted the votes to see which choice won.

Our vote was to learn what the best snack for Room 1 students would be. After much discussion and some thought, the "best" snack, chosen by a margin of 7 was Fruit. Exit polls revealed that Fruit was the popular choice because it had the most pros and the least cons... and the kids really like fruit anyway!
